I do, I do, I do......They did!

On Saturday some good friends of mine got married and it was such a lovely day!
I couldn't wear any of the usual dresses that I pull out for weddings, as the bride knows them all and although I know she wouldn't have noticed, I just couldn't do it.

So I did what most girls would do who have no time to shop and borrowed something off my sister! Just a black jumpsuit from Sportsgirl that I dressed up a little with a fur coat and red lippie. It was a bit small up top and not too sure if it was completely flattering but oh well. The bride was beautiful!

They had an amazing live jazz band who rocked out all night too....

The lovely couple, all smiles.
On the way there...

Food, friends, sisters, brothers.

Here are some more photos from a few weekends' worth of birthday parties, dinners and op-shopping adventures. Enjoy!

Hubby's 24th dinner party...wearing my Prince jacket. Although I did get the "You look like a witch!" more than Prince. I put it down the all black clothes underneath.
Sis and her gorgeous pantsuit. Heavy fabric with pleating in the legs. Love!
Again, sister with her blue shift dress. Not as bright in real life, more a subdued navy, but still love the sleeves.

Her designer dress, can't remember by who, but Jen Hawkins wore the same dress in an ad! I told her (yes, taking credit), to pair it with her ripped stockings and tough lookin' boots for a nice contrast.
My shaggy coat that's not quite fur but really dresses up any outfit. Wore it with black skirt and sparkly cropped top with fluted sleeves.

Friend's 21st. Wore this dress (from Forever New) to my hen's night and putting it on, forgot how short it was! Oh well, ,my hen's at Copacabana deserved a short, flirty dress.

Love my stone-washed Westco jacket. Hubby hates it! muahahaha
My brother and I and the sparkly top I wore under that shaggy coat.
This dress, I bought because my sister loved it. I like it in theory, but not so much on me, if you know what I mean? I feel so very frumpy in it, but Jess loved the cute sleeves and opening down the front. I just feel fat in it!
Do you like? When would I wear it?

There are still more photos, but I am wasting time at work and feel guilty now. Must mark those essays!

Sisterly Love

Saturday rolled around and with Viv off on a buck's party fishing trip, I called the sister who isn't constantly working (take a day off Vicky!) and cruised on down to our favourite hang out....the op-shops.

She is my lucky charm, everytime we go together invariably, I find beautiful things......

This is the black & white dress..

My beautiful sister and Sherlock Holmes' missing cape....

The Prince jacket...

Jessica being herself....Sass & Bide top, her silver Docs...

One of my favourite outfits. I love contrast! Lacy, pretty and feminine top with my ripped jeans and studded belt, topped off with my Aldo shoes!

Liar, liar, my pants are on fire....?

So sorry to lie to you all about updating today......LOL (all 4 of you lovely people) ...by the time I actually found the cord and not just 'knew where it was', it became too late to upload all the fun photos my sis and I took because the camera died!! argh!

I'll just quickly list all the yummy stuff I found yesterday at Savers before I run off to get ready for church...
1. Crushed velvet purple coat ala Prince in his heyday
2. black and white dress, very sophisticated look about it
3. simple black sheath dress with a thigh split...oo la la!
4. 50/60's lookin navy blue polka dot high-necked dress. Not in love with it, but sister said it was lovely :)
